Seeing in the new year, I have been reviewing last year’s photoshoots and updating my portfolio (on my shiny new tablet). I got to work with some really good models in 2013 and can honestly say that I enjoyed every shoot.
I hope that the year ahead brings me the opportunity to learn new things, to expand my photography skills and to work with more great people. I already have my first shoot of 2014 booked and I cannot wait.
I thought I would start off the new year of my photography blog with some shots from a session with professional glamour model Michelle Monroe. Michelle was an absolute joy to photograph. She has a wicked sense of humour. I loved the way she could instantly switch her expressions and respond to my direction. I have featured some headshots and other images of Michelle in earlier blog posts. For this set we were going for sexy topless glamour.
As with most of my glamour shoots, the lighting was really simple. Two Elinchrom studio flash units were used to provide ‘sandwich lighting’ – one main light from the front (fitted with a softbox) and one from behind the model to provide some background separation and light the hair.

It was great to work with you, Paul; and I hope we manage another shoot before I retire this year! I especially love the middle shot. You were one of my final topless shoots as I no longer do them. Lucky you! Hahaha
Great site! All the best for 2014 and keep up the good work.

Hi Chelle and thanks for your comment. Retire? Surely not? You’re way too good. 🙂 x
